In the first quarter of 2021, VinAI Research has a total of 15 accepted papers at top-tier AI conferences. Among those, 6 papers were accepted at ICLR, 7 papers to CVPR and 2 papers to NAACL! What an awesome outcome from our top-notch world-class research team, and congratulations to all involved!
At ICLR 2021, among the VinAI authors are 4 VinAI residents: Khai Nguyen, Tuan Anh Nguyen, Son Nguyen and Duong Le Hoang. In particular, Khai Nguyen, who just graduated from HUST, is the first author on 2 papers (one spotlight).
Along with that, half of VinAI authors at CVPR 2021 are the same core-team that are hard at work at building advanced perception systems for autonomous driving, the ultimate AI and computer vision problem of our generation.
Last but not least, we also have 2 papers accepted at a top-tier NLP Conference (NAACL), one of them is the first Vietnamese NLP paper from Vietnam: “COVID-19 named entity recognition for Vietnamese” by Thinh Hung Truong, Mai Hoang Dao and Dat Quoc Nguyen (author of PhoBERT).
Behind these sweet outputs is an incredible amount of hard work and many sleepless nights by the entire technical and support staff at VinAI.
